“Eat Local, Give Local” Scramble Tempe Grand Opening Celebration:

Approximately 30 corporate and community volunteers from Valley of the Sun United Way (VSUW), Symantec, Scramble and ASU will converge at Scramble - a breakfast and lunch joint's new Tempe location on Thursday, Feb. 7 from 8 - 9 a.m. to stuff Weekend Hunger Backpacks and kick off a weeklong fundraiser for this VSUW program that coincides with the grand opening of this newest Scramble location.

Guests who dine at any of the four Valleywide Scramble locations, from February 7 – 14, will have the opportunity to make a difference for children in the local community by rounding up at the register in celebration of Scramble’s grand opening during the restaurant’s Eat Local, Give Localcampaign.

To kick off the fundraiser on February 7, the first 100 guests who “Round Up at the Register” (at the new Tempe location only)will receive a FREE Scramble Travel Mug, which features $.50 refills of Scramble’s signature drip coffee, Miscela d'Oro Grand Aromaanytime you dine at one of Scramble’s four Valley locations.

This weeklong event will fund Valley of the Sun United Way (VSUW) WeekEnd Hunger Backpacks program, which provides meals to help those Valley children whom homes are food insecure. The food bags help students get through the weekend and ready to learn on Monday morning.

Additionally, Scramble Co-Owners Clay Moizo & Don Talbot have pledged to match funds raised that week, dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,500 in support of the campaign.

We close out the year with Scramble's final cooking class of the year. This month's popular cooking class will feature cooking with products from Peddler's Son Produce.

The class will be held on Wednesday, December 12th starting at 6pm. The cost is $25 per class. Youths will learn chef skills and cooking techniques, they get to eat what they’ve cooked, and they take home a goodie bag with Scramble goodies and more.We’ve developed this series in cooperation with our valued vendors to help teach youths how much fun food can be. They’re introduced to the basics of cooking and how to get creative with food, along with learning to use healthy, fresh, local ingredients.

SCOTTSDALE (August 7, 2018)– Scramble – A Breakfast & Lunch Joint’s is continuing its “Think Global — Eat Local” Junior Edition with its next event on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at the new Biltmore location, on the SW corner of 24thStreet & E. Camelback Rd., featuring a cooking class for kids utilizing local products from Danzeisen Dairy.

Quarterly cooking classes for youthsages 6 to 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on September 19th.

Executive Chef Mike Williams at Scramble Biltmore will teach the hands-on classes; youths must be accompanied by an adult.

A quarterly vendor spotlight on the farm or producer supplying the main ingredients for each of the classes.

The cost is $25 per class. Youths will learn chef skills and cooking techniques, they get to eat what they’ve cooked, and they take home a goodie bag with Scramble water bottles, aprons, samples, coupons and more.

The much anticipated Kids Cooking Class Series held at Scramble, a breakfast and lunch joint, kicks off the new year on Wednesday, March 14th 2018 at the Scottsdale Scramble location. This next cooking class will feature Scramble's own Chef Mike Williams and he will be featuring products form Sun Orchard! These classes are fun for both kids and their parents alike and he child gets a special swag bag of goodies just for participating!

Troop 426 is one of the oldest in the area and is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year! Pack 242 has been around for over 22 years helping young men become active in their community and schools!

The fourth and final meeting of the Kid's cooking class takes place in Scottsdale at Scramble on Wednesday, December 2nd at 7pm.

Grab the kids and come join us for a fun evening where the kids will learn chef skills and cooking techniques from Scramble's own Chef Rick Moses. They get to eat what they’ve cooked, and take home a Scramble goodie bag! This class will feature cooking with Sun Orchard Orange Juice.
